Just like trough a mighty floodgate you step from the wide locality of Bruneck into the narrowness between the castle Kehlburg and castle Neuhaus near Gais into the Tauferer Tal (valley). The commune Gais comprises the villages of Tesselberg (mountain of Tassilo, Bavarian duke), Mühlbach and Uttenheim (residence of Uoto, Bavarian).
